COVID-19 Information
Facemasks are Recommended but not required in County buildings (2021)
As of May 18, 2020 Jackson County offices reopened to the public with physical distancing and other important guidelines and restrictions in place. Signs have been posted asking visitors not to enter County buildings or offices if they have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID -19 in the past 14 days, or experienced any of the following in the past 48 hours: had a fever or felt feverish, coughing, shortness of breath, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell. County employees are required to participate in a daily screening which involves measuring their temperature and assessing symptoms prior to the start of work. A few Departments plan to screen visitors as well.
We remind residents that many of the County’s services can be handled by phone, email, or online. Please consider contacting the department before visiting in person to help reduce unnecessary in-person contact.
