Long Term Residents

Jackson County Animal Shelter has 87 large dog runs, 52 cat cages, and 15 small dog cages. Unfortunately, almost all of these cages are filled with animals every day. But the staff at the animal shelter have an unfailing love for these animals and go above and beyond to save lives. Some animals stay in the shelter longer than others. As of October 17th, 2018, we have three residents, Poco, Loca and Wrenna that have been in the shelter for 12 weeks.

Poco and Loca are a bonded pair that have been with us here at the Shelter for 12 weeks.  Poco and Loca would really love to stay together and go to the same home.

Wrenna is an 11 month old Lab/Hound mix that has been here at the shelter for 12 weeks.  Wrenna is a sweet dog that will  make a great companion for you and your family.
