Personal

Melton Harris is a native of Grenada County. He is married to the former Portia J. Martini of Moss Point. Together, they have three children, Donise, Marcus and Melani. Harris is a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church

Education

Harris graduated from Carrie Dotson High School in 1965.He earned a degree in mathematics and physics from Tougaloo College.
